NSDC is a uniquely created model with a well-thought plan through an underlying philosophy based on the following pillars:
Objectives of the NSDC
Coordinate private sector initiatives for skill development in appropriate public-private partnership(PPP) models aim for significant operational and financial responsibility for the private sector.
Play the role of a “market-maker” by bringing financing, particularly in areas where market mechanisms are ineffective or missing
Prioritize actions that can have a multiplier or catalytic impact as opposed to the one-off result.
In addition to this, ASTM is also affiliated with Security Sector Skills Development Council(SSSDC), Electronic Sector Skills Development Council of India(ESSCI) and Retail Association Skills Council of India(RASCI).
